Welcome to the Computers, Language, Individuals, & Modern Behavior Research Group! My name is Kate Blackburn, and I am Research Fellow in the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. This website is designed to showcase the research being conducted by my undergraduate research lab.
In this research group, we use text analysis methods to study the language people use in their stories and social interactions. Our research topics cover a broad range of psychological contexts, including but not limited to: collective behavior, deception, health, narrative and romantic relationships. My undergraduate researchers are able to assist on a variety of projects, ranging from collecting and analyzing data to writing research papers with the goal of getting published.
I hope you take the time to get to know a little bit about my undergraduate researcher team and our current projects!
